Minutes away from downtown Rochester, Quarry Hill Park & Nature Center is a gateway to the natural world. The 329 acre park features forest, prairie, oak savanna, fishing pond, sandstone caves, a fossil quarry and miles of hiking & walking trails. Seated in the park is Rochester's first and only Nature Center, free and open 361 days per year.

Open daily, step inside to look and learn in our Exploration Hall, bird watching room, and library. More than 35 species of live animals, an indoor observation beehive and 1800 gallon aquarium provide an ever changing experience.

Designated as a Park and Trail of Regional Significance by the Greater Minnesota Parks and Trails Commission, Quarry Hill Park is a historic and natural treasure at the heart of the community. The largest park in the  Rochester Parks & Trails system, Quarry Hill is open daily from dawn to dusk.
