SUMMER NATURE CAMP INSTRUCTOR

Summer nature camp instructors are responsible for leading and implementing Quarry Hill curriculum and experiences for children ranging in age from 6 years old to teens in small group settings.  They are also responsible for the development, growth and skill achievement of the campers in his/her group, as well as their general safety.  A summer camp instructor provides high quality outdoor educational and recreational experiences for campers that focus on Quarry Hill’s mission of “Opening eyes and minds through natural science discovery”.

 

The 2023 Summer Nature Camp begins June 12 and ends on August 18th.   There is no camp the week of the 4th of July

SUMMER NATURALIST & ANIMAL CARE

The summer naturalist/animal care position is an ideal opportunity for someone with environmental education experience who is looking to further develop their overall knowledge and experiences in the day to day operations of a non-profit nature center. The position offers opportunities to be directly involved in program delivery, animal husbandry, interacting with public visitors and overall operational support.

This position runs from late May through the end of August; potential for extended employment on either side of those months.

Currently we have open positions working with our preK camps and our teen camps. 
The PreK camps run a shorter camp season of 5 weeks beginning June 19 - July 28.  Teen camps run the full 8 week camp season June 12 - August 11.  There are no camps the week of July 3-7.
