SPRING BREAK CAMP

Spend your days off enjoying some good-natured fun with a Quarry Hill naturalist, discovering the many signs of spring emerging in the park. Explorers, investigators, and artists —read on to see which camp is designed especially for your age group.

  • Advance registration is required. 
  • Camp runs for two days - March 30 & 31, 2026 or April 1 & 2, 2026.
  • Please dress for weather conditions - campers will be outdoors for most of the camp.
  • Campers should wear shoes that can get wet & muddy.
  • Small class sizes ensure hands-on participation for all campers.

2026 Nature From the Ground Up for grades K—1

March 30 & 31: 9:00–11:30 am or 1:00 - 3:30 pm
April 1 & 2: 9:00–11:30 am
Fee $65, $55 members

Nature is below us, around us, and above us. Let’s explore it! We will meet live animals, create a nature-themed craft, read a nature story, and go on a destination hike.  From salamanders under our feet, to plants in the prairie and birds in the woods, get ready to experience it all. Dress for the outdoors and to get dirty! 

 

2026 Critter Scene Investigator for grades 2—3

March 30 & 31: 9:00–11:30 am or 1:00 - 3:30 pm
April 1 & 2: 9:00–11:30 am
Fee $65, $55 members

Be a C.S.I. agent and solve the mysteries taking place in the woods and pond at Quarry Hill.  Learn to identify skulls, tracks, and other signs to uncover the unknown!  Dress for being outside and getting dirty!  

 

2026 Nature Art for grades 4—5

March 30 & 31: 9:00–11:30 am or 1:00 - 3:30 pm
April 1 & 2: 9:00–11:30 am
Fee $70, $60 members

Nature can be your canvas when you look at it through the lens of ART! Campers will use a variety of natural materials to create fun, easy craft projects inspired by the outdoors. Projects include clay animals, woven art, acorn crafts, nature collages, and more. Join us and let your creativity run wild!
