Spring Break Days Nature Camp

No homework required during this three-day mini camp for grades K-6. Spend your days off enjoying some good-natured fun with a Quarry Hill naturalist discovering the many signs of spring emerging in the park. Explorers, investigators, photographers - read on to see which camp is designed especially for your age group.

  • Advance registration is required. Call 328-3950.
  • Camp runs for three days - March 26 through March 28.
  • Please wear appropriate dress for weather conditions.
  • Campers should wear shoes that can get wet & muddy.
  • Small class sizes ensure hands-on participation for all campers.

Nature Explorers for grades K-1

Fee $65, $55 members
Do plants and birds know its spring? Does the pond know its spring? We will find out as we tap maple trees for syrup making, study what the local birds are doing in the park, and explore changes at the pond.  

Critter Scene Investigators for grades 2-3
March 26-28
Fee $65, $55 members
Be a C.S.I. agent and solve the mysteries taking place in the woods and pond at Quarry Hill. Learn to identify skulls, tracks, and other signs to uncover the unknown! Dress to be outside and to get dirty! 

Spring Nature Photography for grades 4-6
March 26-28
Fee $75, $65 members
Join Quarry Hill staff to explore the great outdoors with camera in hand – searching to capture the essence of all things spring! Quarry Hill will provide the digital cameras and laptops for editing photos. Students will also be able to store photos on their own, Quarry Hill provided 4GB flash drive in order to take them home.
